About the Tallow Mineral Sunscreen from Dakota Tallow:

Broad Spectrum UVA & UVB Protection | Water Resistant

Their sunscreen is all natural and tallow based with non-nano zinc oxide as the main active ingredient with no emulsifying wax. Zinc oxide offers both broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection. The non-nano zinc oxide is a safer option than traditional sunscreen as it does not penetrate the skin and enter the bloodstream making it safe for babies! Dakota Tallow sunscreen is now lightly tinted with organic cocoa powder to help reduce the white hue of the zinc oxide.


The tallow they source is from a (local to them!) specific, high quality cut, not just any old beef fat.  Because of this, it is not in an abundant supply, as you only get a small amount from each animal.  It is also rendered in very small batches, by hand and at a very low temperate to maintain all of its healing qualities!  And of course, it is all natural and grass-fed!
